Jessica has been working in Family Law since 2012. She first commenced working for a well-respected family and commercial law firm on the Gold Coast while completing her dual degree in Law and Arts.
In December 2012, Jessica graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in History and Cultural Heritage). While working full time, she completed her professional legal training through the Queensland University of Technology. In December 2013, Jessica received her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland.
Jessica is admitted as a Legal Practitioner in the High Court of Australia.
While working on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane for almost nine years, Jessica obtained extensive experience in all areas of Family Law, including financial matters, child support, and parenting. She completed a Masters degree, graduating with a Masters of Applied Law (Family Law) in June 2021.
Jessica received the highest High Distinction grade in her final subject of the Masters course.
Jessica has extensive experience in property matters (including high net worth & complex settlements). In May 2021, she moved to Cairns to be closer to her immediate family and to take up the opportunity of working for Millyard Family Lawyers as a Senior Associate. Jessica provides knowledgeable advice and is adept at negotiating and attending Court (when necessary) in Family Law matters.
Jessica’s priority is to be approachable and to always act with integrity in her matters. Jessica works with clients to identify their needs and to guide them through the family law process so that they and those who are close to them can ultimately move on with their lives.
