Amanda Louise Millyard is the founder and director/principal of Millyard Family Lawyers.

Amanda has been practicing in the area of family law in Cairns since 1997 when she commenced her articles of clerkship. She was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 1999 and is also admitted to appear in the High Court of Australia.

She is a Queensland Law Society Accredited Specialist in Family Law and has been placed on Legal Aid Queensland’s Independent Children’s Lawyer and Separate Representative Panel in the capacity: Independent Children’s Lawyer – family law jurisdiction.

Amanda’s career in law in Cairns follows that of her parents before her.

She values being of service to others.

She compassionately represents clients from a variety of backgrounds during some of the most difficult times in their lives.

Amanda engages with others respectfully and professionally. She stays focused on resolving the issue.

Anisah Ali – Allen

Anisah commenced employment with Millyard Family Lawyers in February 2018 as a Paralegal while completing her Bachelor of Laws Degree at James Cook University.
Graduating from James Cook University in November 2018, Anisah began her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the Australian National University in January 2019. While completing her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, Anisah chose Family Law and Succession Law as her elective subjects.
Anisah completed her legal studies in July 2019 and began a position with Millyard Family Lawyers as a Law Clerk.
Anisah was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in December 2019 and registered as a Practitioner of the High Court of Australia in January 2020.
Anisah commenced employment as a Solicitor with Millyard Family Lawyers in January 2020 after working at Millyard Family Lawyers for approximately two years and in Family Law practice for approximately three years.
Anisah is kind, compassionate and empathetic. She handles all matters with care, respect and professionalism and always has her client’s interests at the forefront of her work.
Anisah enjoys helping her clients resolve their family law matters so that they can transition into the next stage of their lives.
